Davis Street Transfer Station handles the curbside discards (trash, recycling & green + food) from 1.5million residents of Alameda & Contra Costa Counties. Our 52 acre facility has 300 employees and processes about a million tons of material each year.

We’ll walk for about 60 minutes through our facility including up and down stairs and over un-paved areas. Don’t forget, Davis Street is an industrial facility. Jeans and tennis shoes or hiking boots are advised. High heel shoes, skirts & dresses are not permitted for walking tours.

Please Note:

The tour is not appropriate for folks with mobility issues.
